I’m so sorry to hear of Katherine’s passing, I last spoke to her a couple of months ago. Katherine and I met when we both went to Midway school as teenagers & remained friends our whole life. Bill & Katherine bought a houseboat at the lake with me & my late husband J.B, and we spent a lot of great weekends on the boat. I’m so sad I didn’t know of her passing because I would have liked to attend her service. She was a dear friend and will miss her...

I loved Ms. Nickens. I work at Stuart Powell and she would come get her car fixed and pull up a chair in my office and talk the entire time. No waiting room for her....”hell no” she’d say. I am going to miss her funnies that she’d bring me and the stories she would tell about her time at Cardinal Hill. She was so proud of that! She was one of a kind! I hope her Nicky (cat) is okay. She loved him and talked of him often. Rest In Peace Kat.....I know Bill was waiting for you. I’m sorry I found out after visitation was over, I would have been there.
