Obituary of Harden Melzer Green
Harden Melzer Green, 69, Harrodsburg, husband of Cindy Ann Strealy Green, died Sat., July 20, 2019, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville.
Born Feb. 12, 1950, he was the son of the late Harden and Gladys Elizabeth Melzer Green. Harden was a retired Kentucky Utilities maintenance employee and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Danville. He enjoyed hunting, cooking , and fishing, and was a member of the Mercer Co. Fish & Game Farm. He had a great sense of humor and loved to garden.
Survivors other than his wife include: four sons, Harden Milton (Jennifer) Green Jr., Harrodsburg, Eric Green, NC, Ted and Michael Green, both of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Sherry (Jason) Carey, Harrodsburg; one brother, Robert (Linda) Green, Harrodsburg; three sisters, Heather (Henry) Donovan, Cape Cod, MA, Cynthia (Steve) Green, Columbia, MO, Wendy (Mike) Camic, Harrodsburg; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, July 26, 2019, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mark Stenbeck. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Thurs., Ransdell's.
Pallbearers are Harden, Eric, Ted, Michael, Gavin, and Robert Green. Honorary bearers are Monty Short, Wayne Ware, Glenn Bugg, Steven Harris, Mike Camic, and Bo Vanwinkle.
