Obituary of John H. Currens Jr.

John H. Currens Jr., 76, Harrodsburg, husband of Wanda Jean Catlett Currens, died Saturday, July 27, 2019.  Born July 26, 1943, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late John Haskell and Semmie Sue (Phillips) Currens. He was a retired farmer and member of the Bethel #1 Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

 

Other survivors include: one daughter, Cathi Sue Chumbley of Harrodsburg; one son, John Brent Currens of Harrodsburg;  one sister, Linda Sharon Collier (Bill) Brewer of Lexington; one granddaughter, Kansas Jade Chumbley of Harrodsburg; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Graveside services will be 1 PM Mon., July 29, 2019, at the Spring Hill Cemetery Pavilion by Bro. James Byrd. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.  Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Sunday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.

 

Pallbearers:  Keith & Terry Currens, Cary & Stephen Keebortz, Billy Brewer, Levi Maddox, and Fred Lewis. Honorary bearers: Dewayne Maddox, Vince Kinder, Todd Devine, Stanley Riney, Mike Catlett, Bobby Lewis and Jim Elery, and Jeff Currens.
