Obituary of Brenda Morse

Brenda  Morse, 71, wife of George Douglas Morse, died Thursday; August 1, 2019, at her home in Salvisa, KY. She was born June 22,1948, in Harrodsburg, KY, to the late Herbert W. and Pauline (Jones) Goforth.  Brenda retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Cabinet for Health and Family Services. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church (attending Harrodsburg Community Church), the Red Hat Society, Birthday Club, Gals of '66 and Family Cruisers Car Club in Liberty.

Brenda is survived by: her husband, George Douglas Morse; her son, Eddie Byford (Kathryn) Reed, Jr. of Lawrenceburg, KY; five step children, Karen Marie (Jamison) Winters of Ilion, NY; Kate Michelle (Chad) Hisert of Fort Plain, NY; Eliot George (Lori) Morse of Putney, VT, Eric Douglas (Andrea) Morse of Norfolk, NY and Ethan Allen (Elizabeth) Morse of Irvine, CA;  two sisters, Ruby (Arvid) Tackett of Harrodsburg, and Edna Smith of Dayton , OH; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Alexandra Reed and Hudson Alexander Reed; 16 step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Byford Reed, Sr.; two sisters, Margaret Taylor, Juanita Cook, and a brother, Paul Goforth; step son, Errin Bruce Morse.

Visitation will be from 4-7pm Monday; August 5 at the Harrodsburg Community Church with Funeral services at 7 pm, conducted by Pastor Terry Morrison.
