Obituary of Glenda J. Mitchell

Glenda J. Mitchell, 69, Harrodsburg, wife of Dennis Mitchell, died Sunday, August 4, 2019, at the UK Medical Center, Lexington.  Born April 18, 1950, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Loren Anderson and the late Peggy (Dearinger) Baker. Glenda was a retired caregiver at The Harrod Assisted Living.

 

Other survivors include: two daughters, Nicole (Jewell) Brown of Lexington, and Dereka Murphy of Harrodsburg; one son, David (Chrisi) Darland of Harrodsburg;  one sister, Loretta Lewis of Harrodsburg; she also has five grandchildren, Alex & Cooper Brown, and Hillary, Catalyn, and Summer Murphy; several nieces and nephews including, Cathy Shope, Misty Gibbs, Mitchell Lewis, Robyn, Brandon, Wesley, Becca, and Jade Mitchell, Jeff Conley, Beth Timken, Tara James, and Kimber Graf.. She was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Jean Campbell, and a niece, Tori Brennan-Williams.

 

Funeral services will be 2 PM Wed., Aug. 7, 2019, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Michael Conover. Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Cemetery, Harrodsburg.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM  until  the hour of service Wednesday, Ransdell's.

 

Pallbearers:  David Dearinger, Brandon Taylor, Charles Murphy, Danny Rawlings, David Darland, and Alex Brown. Honorary bearers: Johnny Rawlings and Ronnie Sexton.
