Obituary of Gary Lynn Cocanougher
Gary Lynn Cocanougher, 66, Danville, KY, husband of Marvina Peavler Cocanougher, died Monday, August 19, 2019, at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Nicholasville. Born January 28, 1953, in Mercer County, he was the son of Patricia Jo Prewitt Cocanougher, Mercer Co., and the late Donald Edward Cocanougher. He was a member of Beuna Vista Baptist Church, was owner of Cocanougher's Hardwood Flooring, and was a member of the KY Home Builders Assoc.
Survivors other than his wife and mother include: one daughter, Anita (Sam) Qualls of Burgin; two sons, Cassidy (Alyson) Cocanougher of Harrodsburg and Trey Cocanougher of Harrodsburg; one brother, Donnie (Trish) Cocanougher, Mercer Co.; six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Trey Cocanougher, and a brother, Larry Wayne Cocanougher.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Friday, August 23, 2019, at the Ransdell Funeral by Kaywood Morris and Greg Warren. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Danville. Visitation will be 5 - 8pm Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Ransdell's.
Pallbearers: Roger Peavler, Donnie Cocanougher, Mason Cocanougher, Bryant Qualls, Wesley Qualls, Jason Major, Kardell Morris and Harold Edwards. Honorary Bearers: Ethan Cocanougher, Baeleigh Cocanougher, Grace Cocanougher, Amanda Williamson, Clay Cocanougher, Luke Major, Adria Major, Shane Cocanougher, Evan Cocanougher, Karson Morris, Karli Morris, Dalton and Mya Morris, and David Robinson.
