Obituary of Roger Tevis Atwell

         Roger Tevis Atwell, 80, Harrodsburg, died Sunday, September 8, 2019 in Harrodsburg. Born August 13, 1939, in Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late Still Tevis and Annie Bell Woosley Atwell.

          He was a retired Prison Guard for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a KY Colonel and volunteered at Cornishville Fire Dept. He was a member at Cornishville Baptist Church and of the Cornishville Ruitan Club.

          Roger is survived by: one daughter: Mary Ann Atwell of Harrodsburg; one son: Patrick J. Atwell of Harrodsburg. Grandchildren: Bobbie Jo (Doug) Sewell; Tabitha (Spencer) Conover; Nikki and Justin Darland; Merceda Atwell and Shay Atwell. Great  Grandchildren, Emily, Brianna and Hannah Sewell. Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Brewer.

          Visitation will be Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 5-8 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel,  Harrodsburg.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Cornishville Community Center.
