Obituary of Frances Cornelius
Frances Cornelius, 86, widow of Clarence William Cornelius, died Sunday, September 22, 2019, at the Life Care Center, Orange Park, FL. Born May 16, 1933, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Kathleen (Jones) Dean. She was a retired American Greetings employee and was a member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Sheryl (Terry) Royalty of Harrodsburg, and Kathy (Jacky) Holt of Junction City; one son, Clarence William (Debbie)"Bill" Cornelius II of Middleburg, FL; one sister, Norma Shackelford of Harrodsburg; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Coomer.
Funeral services will be1 PM Sat., Sept. 28, 2019, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Greg Warren. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 11 AM - 1 PM, Saturday at Ransdell's.
Pallbearers: Billy Joe Cornelius, Jason Royalty, Devin Cornelius, Mike Moore, Jason Shewmaker, Dylan Platt, Tim Bradsher, William Holt, Jr., Joe Turner and Keith Hatter.
Memorials are suggested to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 , or the American Cancer Society - Relay for Life, C/O Whitaker Bank, 211 S. Main St., Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
