Obituary of Jeffrey Lynn Simpson

Jeffrey Lynn Simpson, 60, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Tammy Leonard Simpson, died Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington. Born April 8, 1959, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Marshall and Effie Breeding Simpson. He was a painter and farmer; he was also a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

 

Survivors other than his wife include: One daughter: Brandi (Randy) Darland of Salvisa and two sons: Leslie Joseph Simpson and Cody Allen Simpson, both of Harrodsburg. One sister: Charlotte Lane and one brother: Stevie Simpson, both of Harrodsburg. Grandchildren: Luca Baker, Alexis Simpson, Maci Simpson and Kain Darland. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his Brothers: Billy, Marshall, Jr. and Ronnie Simpson and sisters: Betty Murphy and Joyce Devine.

 

Visitation will be Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 11am-2pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel,  Harrodsburg. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm by John Kesel. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

 

Pallbearers will be: Wayne Tracey, James Tracey, Chris Baker, George Devine, William Anderson and James Murphy. Honorary: Curt Ransdell, Michael Goodlett, Rodney Thompson, Jeff Gray, Carlos Lane and Mitch Lake.
