Obituary of Gary Mitchell Moore
Gary Mitchell Moore, 65, Burgin, husband of Bonnie Parker Moore, died Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born December 28, 1953, in Lake Co., IL, he was the son of the late Tom Moore and Shirley (Ledbetter) Moore of Henderson. Gary was a retired teacher and coach at Mercer Co. Senior High School, was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church, and was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, where he was active in reenactments.
Other survivors include: four sons, Tom (Ronda) Moore of Big Rock, IL, Chris (Andrea) McKinney of Harrodsburg, Brandon (Jessica) McKinney of Harrodsburg, and Gene Parker (Kelly) Moore of Louisville; three sisters, Melinda Moore of Lawrenceburg, Melissa Moore of Versailles, and Kim (Brian) Watson of Marion Co., IL; three brothers, Gene (Karen) Moore of Palatine, IL, Mason (Kelly) Moore of Harrodsburg, and Tim (Donna) Robbins of Henderson, KY; six grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM, Sat., Oct. 5, 2019, by Fr. Fred Byrd, at the St. Andrew Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Pallbearers are: Tom, Gene, and Mason Moore, Gene Parker Moore, Chris and Brandon McKinney, and Tim Robbins. Honorary bearers are: Roscoe Perkins, David Morris, Duane Hammons, Barry Moser, Jason Bryant, Joe Bill Fister, Bart Bredar, Jeremy Shope, and Greg Brown.
