Obituary of John Gary Curtsinger
John Gary Curtsinger, 69, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Judy Durr Curtsinger, died Thursday at the Ephraim McDowell - James B Haggin Hospital, Harrodsburg. Born December 21,1949, in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late T.J. and Violet (Whitley) Curtsinger, and his foster parents, the late Isaac and Mamie Watts. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam war, was a lawn care specialist for Signet, and was a Christian.
John Gary is survived by: his wife, Judy (Durr) Curtsinger; one step-daughter, Kelly (Ronnie) Sims of Harrodsburg; three grandsons, James , Brian & Brandon Sims; three sisters: Lana (Greg) Kessenger of Lexington, Martha Curtsinger of Lexington and Sherry (Dallas) Crawford of Glasgow; half brother, Kerry Curtsinger of TX; half sisters, Janet (Ron) Hight of SD, Joyce (John) Adams of Orlando, FL; foster sister, Jane (Buddy) McRay of Harrodsburg. John Gary was preceded in death by his first wife, Kimberly Bentley Curtsinger, a daughter, Jeffra Jo Curtsinger, his half sister, Margie Curtsinger, foster sisters, Hazel Stamper, Linda Berry & Mildred Pugh, foster brothers, Jack & Isaac Watts.
Visitation will be 11-2:30 pm Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel leading to the funeral service at 2:30 pm by Chuck Robinson. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Sims, Jonathon Bowles, Monty McRay, Greg Kessenger, James Sims, Brian Wiley, Chris McKenzie and Ralph Bays.Honorary Bearers Brian Sims, Brandon Sims and David Bottom.
