Obituary of Zelma Drury

Zelma Drury, 92, Harrodsburg, died Sunday, December 8, 2019, at the Harrodsburg Health & Rehab, Harrodsburg.  Born January 18, 1927, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Lydia (Beatley) Medley. She was a retired Assembler for the former Eaton-Signet Corp., was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, a former Mercer Co. Business and Professional Woman's Club Member, an original member of the Mercer Co. Senior Citizens Board, and helped establish the New Senior Citizen's Building. Zelma was also the first Miss Mercer County Senior Citizen.

Survivors include: three daughters: Georgia Mingo of Harrodsburg, KY, Gail (William) Morrissey of AL and Vickie (Thomas) McRay of Harrodsburg; she also has seven grandchildren, Jeff (Beth) Barnett, Deanna (Gary) Arnold, Greg Redmon, Keith (Maricar) McRay, Brian Morrissey, Mistaya Mingo, and Chase Mingo; seven great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by siblings, Albert and Marshall Medley, Beatrice Leonard and Lizzie Belle Perry, and a half-brother, Donnie Peavler, and a grandson, Kurt McRay.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wed., Dec. 11, 2019, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Morris Trayner. Burial will in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Ransdell's.

Pallbearers:  Jeff Barnett, Greg Redmon, Keith McRay, Gary Arnold, Nathan McRay, Blake Arnold, Noah McRay, and Zac Ison.
