Alice Ruth "Pixie" Burks, 64, wife of Harold Smyth Burks, died Friday, December 20, 2019, at her home. Born August 17, 1955, in Anderson Co., she was the daughter of the late Campbell and Frances (Catlett) Yocum. Pixie was a retired KY State Government Administrative Clerk and was a member of the Graefenburg Christian Church.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Lesley Hill of Shelbyville, Whitney (Derek) Jones of Pensacola, FL, Emily (Drew) Dennis of Harrodsburg, and Nellie (Zach) Ramsey of Versailles; one son, Harold Matthew Burks of Harrodsburg; eight grandchildren, Levi Snyder, Gunner Dean, Campbell & Denver Jones, Anna Burks, Emily Coleman, Silas Earl Dennis, and Hadden Ramsey. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Jones.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, December 26, 2019, with a Funeral Service at 7 pm by Joseph Vest, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
