CLAUDIUS R. CASEBIER

Claudius R. Casebier, age 87, formerly of Pleasant Hill Drive, Burgin, widower of Lois Dean Hays Casebier, died Friday, September 17, 2004 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.

Born January 24, 1917 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late R.A. and Cora Sumner Casebier. He was a retired Senior Systems Supervisor for the Kentucky Utilities Dispatch, a US Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Burgin Baptist Church were he was a former trustee and greeter and a member of the Young at Heart Class.

Survivors include: one son, Bud and his wife Judy Casebier, Paris, KY; one daughter, Mary and her husband Scott Olson, Panama City, Florida; two brothers Clarence Casebier, Owensboro and Earl Casebier, Louisville; one sister, Mildred Wells, Greenville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Krista Woodham, Meredith Olson, Lynn McKay, and Lisa Casebier; two great grandchildren, Cali Woodham and Sophia McKay. He was preceded in death by a son Olson Casebier.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm CDT Monday, September 20th at the Gary’s Funeral Home, 405 Hopkinsville Street, Greenville, Kentucky by Dr. Robert Browning. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Depoy, Kentucky.

Pallbearers are: Ed Browning, John Browning, Joe Browning, F.M. Wells, Robert Wells, Scott Olson and Barry Woodham.

Visitation will be from 2 until 5 pm Sunday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel in Harrodsburg and from 11:00 am CDT until the hour of service Monday at the Gary’s Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Burgin Baptist Church Building Fund, the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Depoy, Kentucky, or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
