Obituary of Helen Frances Ryan

Helen Frances Ryan, 75, Harrodsburg, KY, died Sunday, January 12, 2020, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born July 9, 1944, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Claude B. and Bessie Jane (Sallee) Merriman. She was a member of the Dry Branch Baptist Church and attended the Berea Christian Church. Helen enjoyed Bowling, Soft Ball and Family Time. Survivors include: one daughter: Julie Ryan of Frankfort and one son: Jeff (Susanna) Ryan of Parksville; two sisters: Mary Elizabeth Doyle of Harrodsburg, and Edith Drury of Nicholasville, Sisters-in-Law, Juanita Merriman, and Edna Merriman, both of Harrodsburg, three grandchildren: Michael (Heather) Ryan; Heidi (Scott) Lowry; Kimberly (David) Douglas; seven great grandchildren, Emily, Andrew, Madison, Caleb, Olivia, Addison, &. Tatum. She is predeceased by brothers: Everett, Charles and Arnold Merriman and Brothers-In-Law: John Doyle and Edward Drury. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday; Jan. 16 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Nelson Reynolds and Ollie Mae Wicker, burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers: Jeff, Michael, and Andrew Ryan, Michael Gabhart, Tony Drury, Danny, Steve and Kenny Merriman. Honorary bearers: Larry Gabhart, Roger Drury, Keith Merriman, Tommy and Chris Reynolds, Miles Jacobi, Jerry Best and Caleb Lowry.
