Obituary of Ellen Rae O`dell

Ellen Rae Odell, 87, Harrodsburg, mother of Stanley and Stevan Douglas, died Sunday at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center, Frankfort, KY. Born January 19,1933, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Frank and the late Gertie Mae (Lee) Atwood. Ellen was a homemaker, and a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and attended the Mt. Freedom Baptist Church. She was the widow of Robert O`dell and Paul Douglas. Ellen is survived by: two sons: Stanley (Luann) Douglas of Harrodsburg, KY and Stevan Paul (Freida) Douglas of Lawrenceburg, KY, four grandchildren; Stevan Tracy Douglas, Zachary Alan Douglas, Amy Lynn Douglas and Nina Rae Douglas; two great grandchildren, Autumn Douglas and Haleigh (Garrett) Campbell and a great great grandchild, Elynn Campbell. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday; January 22 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers will be: Tracy Douglas, Zachary Douglas, Garvey Barnett, Brian Sallee, Carey Stafford and Greg Rhodus. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John McDaniel and Hilary Claypool. Burial will follow in the Salyers Cemetery, Yosemite. The family request memorial donations be sent to the charity of your choice. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com
