Marie "Lucille" Burton, 81, widow of Charlie and mother of Bobby Burton, died Tuesday at her home in Harrodsburg. Born March 12, 1939, in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lafon and the late Verna (Million) Cole.
Lucille retired as an inspector for Corning Glass Manufacturing, and was a member of the New Providence Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son: Charles R. "Bobby" Burton Jr of Harrodsburg; one sister: Mary Jo (John) Rogers of Salvisa, and one brother: Frank (Terry) Cole of Frankfort, sister in law, Rose (Alan) Teele and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings: Doris Bradley, Devola Crain, Marvin and Lawrence Cole.
Private graveside services will be held at the Spring Hill Cemetery Pavilion by Rev. James Byrd.
