Eva May Sims, 100, widow of Dewitt Sims, died Sunday at the Horizon Senior Living, St. Helen, MI. Born April 18, 1920, in Breckinridge County, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and the late Sarah Elizabeth (Langley) Lewis.
She was a relief cook for Paramount Foods and a member of the Magnolia Street Christian Church.
Eva is survived by: one daughter: Charlotte St Clair of Grayling, MI, and two grandchildren, Michael Hershberger and Stacey(Mike) Begoyshen. She also leaves several extended family members from both sides of the family. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Sims, a son, Roy Eskridge, two brothers, Paul and James Lewis, two sisters, Hallie Sullivan and Mary Alice Rhodes.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday; June 22 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm by Brother Trent Baker. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
The family request memorial donations be sent to Magnolia St. Christian Church, 332 S. Magnolia St., Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
