Obituary of Emeline Eads Woods

Emeline Eads Woods, 90, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Lewis C. “Shank” Woods Jr., died Tues., June 23, 2020, in Harrodsburg. Born in Campbellsville, Kentucky, on May 10, 1930, she was the daughter of E. Rouse and Maxine Cook Eads. Emeline graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1948 and attended Centre College. She is survived by son L. Curry Woods III (Mary Anne Newton) of Bel Air, MD; daughter Sammye Woods of Nashville, TN; sister Charlotte Eads Baldwin of Madisonville, KY; granddaughter Anna Norvez (Andre’); grandson Luke Woods; great-granddaughter Maxine Norvez; sister-in-law Sarah Frances Woods Bottom; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sister Helen Eads Vaughn of Greensburg, KY.
A memorial service will be held 11 AM, Sat., July 25, 2020, at the Harrodsburg Community Church, by Terry Morrison. Visit. will begin at 9 AM, Saturday. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, KY.
