Obituary of Christine Bailey Trimble

Please share a memory of Christine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Christine Bailey Roach Trimble, who celebrated her 94th birthday just over one month ago, passed from this life Sunday morning, July 26th after a brief illness. She was born in Mercer County, KY on June 19, 1926 to the late Bailey and Naomi (Bast) Roach and grew up in the Mayo/Talmage area. Married to Lloyd C. Trimble at the age of twenty-one, she then moved to Harrodsburg where they raised their family. Lloyd preceded her in death on February 16th, 2014. Christine loved her family, and they dearly loved her in return; to them, she was known simply as “Mama” or “Granny”. Her children knew her to be a hard working, strong willed (sometimes stubborn) woman who sacrificed for them, and raised them to be people who exemplified one of her favorite quotes, “Where there's a will, there's a way”. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and she relished spoiling them, and being spoiled by them, whenever possible and in so many ways. In her later years, she loved being the center of every holiday and get-together during which she was sure to have the family rolling in laughter over something she said or did, and those memories will be cherished in the days and years ahead. Her friends were many over the years from her school days at McAfee High School, her working years as a seamstress at Cricketeer Sewing Factory and later as a Nurses Aid at Haggin Memorial Hospital, and from her church family at Magnolia Street Christian Church. Christine is survived by three children: Lloyd Stephen (Mary Jane) Trimble, Katina Marie Trimble, and Kristie Robin Trimble Milam, and three grandchildren: Stephanie (Chad) Albanese, Zach (Jess) Milam, and Bailey Milam. She is also survived by a niece, Susan Dean, and a nephew, Gene Roach Jr. In addition to her husband and parents, Christine was preceded in death by beloved siblings, Nettie Roach, Gene Roach, and Vernon Roach. Please join us to celebrate Christine's life during visitation at Ransdell's Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington St., Harrodsburg, KY on Tuesday, July 28th from 11:00 am, until 1:00pm. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM by Trent Baker with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers: Ken McCoun, Connor Bird, Bill Releford, and Bud Isham. Christine also loved many “friends with fur” over the years and would have greatly appreciated donations made to your local animal shelter or humane society in lieu of flowers. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com.
