Rita Carol Phillips, 51, Harrodsburg, wife and partner for 37 years of Clarence Phillips, died Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born December 19, 1968, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of Jean Hardin Tharp, Harrodsburg, and the late Clyde Tharp. Rita was a longtime manager at Shoney's Restaurant.
Survivors other than her husband and mother include: two sisters, Pam (Ricky) Spain of Harrodsburg and Tammy Tharp of Indianapolis; three brothers, Tommy (Carol) Tharp of Mackville, Chris (Billie) Tharp of Danville and Kevin (Shelly) Tharp of Burgin; Special Pets: Maggie & Spunky.
Visitation will be 11 AM Saturday, August 8, 2020 with funeral services to follow at 1 PM by Bobby Logue, Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers: Steven Taylor, Stuart Taylor, Justin Tharp, William Rogers, Ricky Spain and Kevin Sallee.
Memorials are suggested to: Mercer County Humane Society.
