Norma Jean Hume, 76, Harrodsburg, wife of James A. Hume, died Thursday, August 27, 2020 in Harrodsburg. Born April 15, 1944, in New Castle, IN, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Cora Lee Brake McIntyre. She was a Nurse for Frankfort Hospital & Home Health Services and a Church Member of Eller's Memorial Baptist. Norma is survived by: her husband, James A. Hume, Harrodsburg; two daughters: Mary Jean (Ronnie) Mullins of Frankfort and Susan (Robert) Burnett of Columbus, OH; three sons, Billy Whalin of Harrodsburg, Donnie (Lori) Dial Sr. of Frankfort and J.R. (Laura Schultz) Hume of Newburgh, IN; two sisters: Shirly Wry of IN and Betty Preston of Pleasureville; one brother, James McIntyre of IN; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday from 12-2 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers will be: Johnny Preston, Donnie Dial Jr., William Henry, Joshua Dial, Bruce Preston and Estill Preston. Honorary bearers: Shawnee Run Baptist Women's Class. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. J.R. Hume. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Memorials are suggested to a charity of one's choice.
