James Royce Followell, 32, Harrodsburg, died Sunday, August 30, 2020. Born June 8, 1988, in Boyle County, he was the son of Darrell E. and Linda (Turner) Followell, of Danville. J. R. was a welder for The Welding Shop and an advanced Emergency Medical Techician. He was a member of Boyle Co. Fire and Rescue, Burgin/Mercer Co. Fire Protection Dist., Perryville City Fire Dept., and Lincoln Co. EMS. He had attended The Carpenter's Christian Church. Others survivors include: three children, Savannah Grace Followell, Braydan Walker Followell, and Landon Hamlin, all of Harrodsburg, and their mother, Jennifer Hamlin, Harrodsburg; two brothers, Justin Isaac Followell of Garrard County, and Joshua Aaron Followell of Danville; Paternal Grandparents, Darrell R. & Ann Followell of Danville. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ann Simpson and James and Pauline Turner. Funeral services Thursday, September 3, 2020, at the Boyle County Central Fire Station # 1, 1500 Lebanon Rd., Danville, by Carl McCray and Lewis Sexton. Visitation will be 11 am - 2 pm Thursday at the Station. Honorary Pallbearers: Justin Followell, Josh Followell, Branden Troutman and Burgin & Boyle Fire Dept. members. Memorials are suggested to: J. R.
