Margaret Long, 99, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Elwood Long, died Monday, September 28, 2020, at the Harrodsburg Health & Rehab Center. Born February 1, 1921, in, Washington Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Effie (Golf) Cheatham. Margaret was a homemaker, a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, and had been active in the Mercer Co. Senior Citizens. She enjoyed gardening, Arts & Crafts, and sold her produce at Farmer's Market for many years. Survivors include: two sons, Eddie (Peggy) Long and Don (Phyllis) Long, both of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Camie Louise Carrier of FL and Bonnie Shearer of Frankfort; four grandchildren, Angie (Darren) Jones, Blair (Michael) Phelps, Kathy (H. T.) Logue, Karen (Rob) Lamour; fourteen great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kim Hungate. Funeral services 2 PM, Sat., Oct. 3, 2020, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Lewis Walter. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 12 noon Saturday at Ransdell's. Pallbearers: Rob Larmour, H. T. Logue Jr., Darren Jones, Michael Phelps, Ronnie Cheatham and Charles Cheatham. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com.
