Amber Ashford, 60, Harrodsburg, KY, wife of Bruce Ashford, died Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family following a fifteen year battle with breast cancer. Born October 23, 1959, in Booneville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Billy Reece and Carolyn (Hicks) Reece, Booneville, NC. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the Univ. of KY, and had worked at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center and Commonwealth Cancer Center. She was a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church. Other survivors include: one daughter Erica Ashford of Harrodsburg; one son, Bryan (Joanna) Ashford of Harrodsburg; one sister, Crystal Reece of East Bend, NC; two grandchildren, Elliott & Caleb Ashford; mother-in-law, Janet Ashford; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Marvin Ashford. Funeral services 10:30 AM, Sat., Oct. 3, 2020, at the Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, Danville, by Basil Hall. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at the church. Pallbearers: Monty McRay, Richie Bottoms, Rick Morgan, Bill Wickliffe, Brad Noel, Allen White, Mark Doughty, Darrell Ensor and David Ashford. Memorials suggested to the Central Kentucky Cancer Program, 217 S.
