Obituary of Donald & Barbara Bottom

Donald Bottom, 93, Mt. Washington, KY, died Saturday, October 24, 2020, at the Willows, Harrodsburg. Born July 4, 1927, in Springfield, KY, he was the son of the late Owen Dick and Edith (Milburn) Bottom. He was a retired employee of G. E. Company of Louisville, and a US Army veteran. Survivors include: one sister, Betsy Roney of Springfield; nephews, Donald L. Bottom, Darin Roney, and Mark Roney; a great niece, Connie C. Riney. He is predeceased by a brother, John Davis "Bud" Bottom, and a nephew, John D. Bottom, Jr. Other survivors for Barbaara Bottom include: one sister, Dorothy Helen Sloan of Louisville, KY;nephew, Donnie Bottom; great niece, Connie Coyle Riney of Harrodsburg; great great great nephew, Micah T. Riney. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Colvin and Irene Brady. Joint services will be held for Donald and his wife, Barbara VanDyke Bottom, (who died Oct. 5, 2020) at 2:00 PM, Wed., Oct. 28, 2020, Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Burial will follow in Beach Grove Cemetery, Perryville, KY. Pallbearers: Donald L. Bottom, Samuel Bottom, Owen Bottom, Mark Roney, Darin Roney and Micah Riney.
