Oscar J. Bailey, 83, of Danville, KY, husband of Nancy Darnell Bailey, died Thursday, December 3, 2020 at his home. He was born June 6, 1937 in Harrodsburg, KY to the late Henry Kyle & the late Hazel Lee (Wilham) Bailey. Oscar J. served in the United States Army, was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church of Danville, KY and was a hardworking, successful, lifelong farmer. Survivors besides his beloved wife, Nancy, include one brother, Lee Kyle Bailey; one son, O.J. (Dawn) Bailey Jr. and two daughters: Carla Henson and Mona (Mike) Parker; seven grandchildren: Joni (Rob) Bodner, Casey (Jillian) Henson, Bo (Sarah) Reed, Cody (Rachel) Henson, Breanna (Jonathan) Milburn, Brooklyn Bailey and Olivia Bailey; eight great-grandchildren: Emma, Andrea and Hannah Vaught, Lilly Bailey, Leela and AnnaBeth Reed, Hazel Henson and Grayson Milburn. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Bailey, and sister, Andrea Best. Pallbearers will be David Best, John Best, Casey Henson, Billy McCormack, Robbie Mattingly and Bo Reed. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnnie Bailey, Kyle Bailey, Rex Bartley, Tony Best, Bill Brock, Lindsay Campbell, Robert Carmicle, Andy Chirigotis, Buddy Daugherty, J.L. Devine, Roger Durham, Bryan Horn, Mikey Middleton, Tom Nolan, Don Ranari and Hubert Turpin. Private services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel in Harrodsburg, KY. Services will be conducted by Cody Henson & Mark Henson. Burial will follow in the Lower Salt River Cemetery.
