So sorry to hear of Tim's death. I didn't know him well personally, but he and Lois invited me to a meal at their farm once, and he was such a personable host. His many community accomplishments are to be commended and remembered. Prayers for his family.

Dear Lois: like many others, Judy & I were shocked to learn of Tim's passing. We always treasured our trip to your farm to share Sunday supper with you both, followed by the tour of your beloved Tallgrass Farm. Tim was an old friend beginning at Officer Candidate School at Ft Knox, tours in Vietnam followed by roommates in Louisville for nearly a year before becoming my Best Man
at our wedding Nov. 1, 1969. "Best Man" was also a great description of Tim during his remaining life - a best friend that you could count on, one that you could trust and have your back. I am sad to have lost an old dear friend and Judy & I extend our deepest
sympathies to you and the rest of his family.

On behalf of the City of Middletown, I would like to express my deepest condolences. Tim was an outstanding asset to our city and will be greatly missed. In addition to being a caring citizen and an amazing friend to all of us, he left a legacy of improvements to our community through his building and historical preservation efforts, including building our original City Hall and being an instrumental force in our Vietnam Memorial Wall program. We are holding the entire Peters family close in thought and prayer. May you find comfort in knowing you are not alone but are surrounded by an entire community of love.

Tim was one of Jasper Ward's, my father, favorite work, lunch, and drink companions. Tim was continually generous, kind and considerate, always time for a nice word, encouraging thought and just general kindness.
He will be remembered fondly by many.

Lois.
Janet and I will forever treasure our weekend at your farm with you and Tim, your hospitality, food, taste in liquor, fun and pool. It was so obvious how much you enjoyed the setting and sense of the place. We share in your grief - and memories. What an incredible legacy Tim left us all.
Peace

I got to know Tim though a lunch club hosted by the President of SPALDING University. He was a person of unparalleled thinking ability.
I ended up traveling with Tim to Alaska and we shared a tent and a canoe for 7 days in the wilderness just outside th Arctic Circle. It was a wonderful experience (after we returned). This included Tim and I pulling our weapons to face a very upset mother Moose at 2:00am one morning. Nothing like sleeping in a small tent with a large man and waking to him locking and lading his rifle and telling me in his “army voice” to do the same.
We finally arrive din Eagle Alaska after 7 days on the Yukon River. We could not have been happier and more relieved. Our Host in Eagle asked us where we cam from. We told her of our journey in the great outdoors, in the wild, living on what we cold carry. I am confident we did this with much bravado and maybe a lie or 2. She looked at Tim and I’ve and ask: “why would you do that?” Tim and i fell down laughing.
Tim was an amazing person and changed my life for the better just by allowing me to spend time with him. His memory will always serve as blessing to me for all of my days. I hope everyone feels the same. He will be sorely missed in our community. God’s speed.

Lois, We are heartbroken for you, and want to express our heartfelt condolences to you, and to all who had the good fortune to have known Tim. We have lost a good friend who made a difference in this world. His bounding spirit in everything he did will remain. I remember most his great ability to make people smile, to ponder, and his profound thirst for knowledge. We are grateful to have known him, and our thoughts are with you. --Michael + Margie Jacobs

Lois, we just now heard the sad news and am at a loss. He truly was a kind, generous and trustworthy gentleman. Although our relationship was brief I will always look favorable on it and considered him a friend. He believed in me and that meant the world ! I will miss him and even the terrible coffee in his office.
You have my prayers and love. Sean Higgins
