We loved Berdie. One of the funniest memories was when I first met him. He said oh I want to show you a picture of my Pride and Joy. So I am thinking, it’s a picture of his grandchildren. He pulls his wallet out and shows me a picture of detergent containers with pride and joy on them. We laughed and laughed.
Once we went on a trip. It was the Tops (weight loss group).
On the way home we stop to eat.
He was talking about his birthday. So we tell the waitress it is his birthday.
The waitress brings a dessert, we all sing Happy Birthday to him. When the waitress walks away, he says it’s not my birthday. We said ,”what?”
He then tells us he just loves that song.
Of course we all laughed and laughed. Wonderful memories of a very special person.
