Charissa (Cari) Perkins Wade left us Christmas morning at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was born on January 23rd, 1961 in Rantoul, Illinois. She graduated from Harrodsburg High School in 1979. She earned her B.S. in Accounting from Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina. During the course of her career, she worked as the Tax Administrator for the Mercer County Fiscal Court, and retired as Director of the Harrodsburg YMCA. Post retirement she served on the board of Foster Care Review. She was an avid and accomplished cook, whom loved to share that gift with her family and others whenever possible. She was a member of Boyle County Homemakers and the Harrodsburg Christian Church. Cari was a beloved wife to Kenneth Bruce Wade. In addition to her husband, Cari was survived by her parents, Thomas Eugene Devine of Harrodsburg, Ky and Leonna (Russel) Kish of Indian Harbor Beach, FL; sister Kristen Devine (Chris Flick) of Harrodsburg Kentucky and brother Doug Devine of Alabama son Jonathan Alexander (Erin) Perkins of Olathe KS, stepson Bruce (Charissa) Wade and stepdaughter Angela Swabey, both of Harrodsburg, KY;; 6 grandchildren, Joseph Allen Perkins and Jonathan Thomas Perkins of Olathe, KS, Jacob Swabey and Bliss Swabey, Alexa Wade and Mia Wade all of Harrodsburg, KY. Cari was preceded in death by a husband, Captain John Allen Perkins, and a stepmother, Verna Devine. Private family services will be held. Burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Donations can be made to Harrodsburg Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) at PO Box 96 Harrodsburg, KY 40330 and the Christian Life Center at 108 S Main St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
