Obituary of Ethel Mae Lawson

Ethel Mae Lawson, 81, Danville, formerly of Salvisa, widow of Lewis Edward Lawson, died Sunday, January 3, 2021, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born April 25, 1939, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late William and Mable (Wilson) Murphy. She was a retired Breuning Bearing employee.
Survivors include: one son, Eddie (Linda) Lawson of Danville; three sisters, Ida (Elzie) Sutherland of Versailles, Martha Reed of Versailles, and Becky (Jimmy) Florian of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Johnnie Murphy of Lawrenceburg, and Jimmy (Betty) Murphy of Georgetown; two grandchildren, Lewis E. (Lindsay) Lawson III and Christopher Lee Lawson; six great grandchildren, Logan, Lincoln, Lucas, & Emma Lawson, Toby and Autumn Sallee. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Sammy Murphy, Norma Kincaid, Ruby Smith, and Elsie Florian.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery, Casey Co.. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until hour of service on Friday at Ransdell's.
