Obituary of Don W. Stiglich

Don Stiglich, 77, of Harrodsburg, passed Tuesday, January 12th, 2021. Born November 3, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois and raised by his grandparents in Cornishville, Kentucky. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and attended Hebron Baptist Church. For 33 years Don retired as a conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was an avid reader and gardener; he also enjoyed fishing and playing rook. Over the last several years, he attended local country music jamborees.
Don is survived by one daughter: Malissa (David) Thompson, and one son: Dennis (Pam) Stiglich, five grandchildren, Mason Ezra Thompson, Julia Katherine Stiglich, Kennedy Paige Thompson, Cameron Jacob Stiglich, and Avery Brooke Thompson and fiancé Linda Joyce Watts; and preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Brenda Royalty Stiglich.
Visitation will be held January 15th at Ransdell’s Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY from 11:00-2:00 pm. Celebration of life will immediately follow, officiated by Brother George Dye and Doug Wesley.
