Vera Mae Kurtz Patterson, 104, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of David Houston Patterson, died Friday at the The Willows at Harrodsburg. Born March 1, 1916, in Garrard County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and the late Mary (Giles) Kurtz. She was a homemaker and a member of the Forks of Dix River Baptist Church. Vera is survived by: a daughter: Patricia (Garnett) Clark of Cecilia, KY, daughter in law; Patricia Patterson, of Harrodsburg, eight grandchildren and several great grand children; six sisters: Betty Wooldridge, Norma DeVore, Ida Hurt and Mary Underwood of Lancaster, KY, Pearl Matthews and Juanita Wright of Louisville, KY and one brother: Clell Kurtz of IN. Vera was preceded in death by her sons, Jimmy and David Patterson, brothers, Bob, Max, Fred & Harold Kurtz, Sisters, Velma Carter, Alice Stocker, & Dollie Graham, daughter, Laura Ann Patterson, and granddaughter, Katherine Clark, Visitation will be from 11:30 AM until 1 PM Tuesday; January 19 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa.
