Michael Joseph Vah Sr., 84, Harrodsburg, KY, widower of Shirley Barker Vah, died Friday, January 29, 2021, at his home. Born December 6, 1936, in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Michael and Anne (Yukas) Vah. He was a retired Tech Supervisor for Signet-Modine, was a US Navy veteran, and a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, V.F.W., American Legion. Loved watering his plants, old cars and old music, but most of all, he Loved Shirley. Survivors include: two daughters, Kim (John) Rider of Harrodsburg, and Deborah Lynn Handy of the Netherlands; one son, Michael J. Vah Jr. of Lexington; one brother, Richard Vah of Madison, OH; eleven grandchildren, Katy Vah, Whitney Veen, Chris Handy, Nichole, John, & Joshua Rider, Cassidy Rios, Carrington Yates, Chris Dunn, Chanell & John Michael Vah; fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by five children, Matthew, John, Tracy, Cheryl Ann, and Deborah L. Vah, and two grandchildren; Michael Kyle Vah and Nicholas Tyler Handy. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at the St. Andrew Catholic Church by Father J. R. Hadnagy. Service will be streamed on FaceBook Live, visit the Ransdell Funeral Chapel FaceBook page at service time. Pallbearers will be members of the Knights of Columbus: Ty Holiday, David Coleman, David Cleveland, Troy Aderson, Warren Jackson, Kevin Heighton and Matt Fish. Honorary pallbearers: Whitney Veen, Chris Handy, John Rider lll, Joshua Rider, Chris Maddox, Kobe Maddox, Kendall Maddox, and Mikayla Gress. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
