Betsy Ruth Yates Napier, 71, Harrodsburg, KY, died Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born March 5, 1949, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Lucian and Rosalind Morris (Hawkins) Yates Jr.. Betsy was a retired Corning Inc. employee and was a member of the First Baptist Church on Broadway Survivors include: four daughters: Rosita I. Napier-Brown (Melvin) and Nina R. Napier of Louisville, Kelli G. Napier of Salvisa, and Staci L. Napier of Georgetown, ,three brothers: Lucian Yates III, (Vietta), Phillip A. Yates (Jeannie) and David M. Yates (Phyllis); she also has five grandchildren; Hailey K. Turner (Katie), Jackson L. Napier, Trinity D. Yeast, Leevi T. Napier and Dennim K. Napier; a great grandson; Jared I. Williams and host of Nieces & Nephews. Betsy was preceeded in death by two sisters: Lucretia A. Yates and Janice A. Jones and grandson, Myles J. Turner, Visitation will be from 1-3pm Sunday; February 14 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Private, family only services will be conducted by Dr. Phil Yates, with burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers: Kevin G. Jones, Daniel J. Jones, Keishawn C. Edwards, Phillip W. Yates, Myron D. Russell and Zachary S. Jones. Honorary Bearers will be: Melvin L. Brown, Ronald W. Wilkinson, William C. Jones, Michael A. Johnson, Edward L. Davidson Jr., Robert Bradshaw, Khalil Yates and Anthony W. Gill.
