Obituary of Carolyn Devine

Carolyn Celeste Smith Devine, 88, widow of Granville Curtis Devine (married 57 years), died Friday, March 12, 2021, at her daughter's (Nancy & Ed Schellhaas) home in Edgewood, KY. Born April 29, 1932, in Mercer Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Georgia (Terhune) Smith. Carolyn was a faithful member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church and the MEG/Emma Watts Sunday School Class. She was a retired Bookkeeper for Reed & Dedman Enterprises, Harrodsburg. Survivors include: two daughters, Vicky (Fred) Noel of Crossville, TN and Nancy (Ed) Schellhaas of Edgewood, KY; one son, David (Vernell, deceased) Devine of Georgetown, KY; one brother, Ronnie (Mary Rose) Smith of Harrodsburg, KY; she also has five grandchildren, Steven (Cecelia) Harmon of Independence, KY, Kenton (Allison) Devine of Georgetown, KY, Emily Devine of Georgetown, KY, Leslie (Jacob) Litmer of Edgewood, KY, and Kristen Schellhaas of Louisville, KY; three great grandchildren, Reana Harmon of Danville, KY, Ty Harmon of Harrodsburg, KY, and K C Fassas of Lexington, KY; one great great grandchild, Nevaha King of Danville, KY. Funeral services will be 12 PM, Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, by Eddie Russell. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 11 AM until 12 Noon, Wednesday, Ransdell's. Pallbearers are: Ed Schellhaas, Fred Noel, Steven Harmon, Ty Harmon, Kenton Devine and Jacob Litmer.
