Lavena L. Moody, 99, Louisville, KY, died Friday, April 9, 2021, at home. Born February 8, 1922, in Willisburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Irvin and Maddie Lee Long. Lavena was a teacher in Mercer, Bullitt and Jefferson County School systems where she retired from, and she was member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: two daughters: Jean Carolyn Severs of Louisville, KY and Jan Marilyn Barrett of TX, and one son: Lee Steven Moody of Louisville, KY; she also has six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
