Obituary of Burie Campbell

Burie Campbell, 85, husband of Judith Elaine Campbell, died Mon., April 26, 2021, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Judith and Burie were happily married and loved each other very much. Born Sept. 20, 1935, in Jackson, KY, he was the son of the late Price and Eva (Ritchie) Campbell. Burie was retired from the US Navy and was a member of the Burgin Christian Church. Other survivors include: one son, Mike (Doreen) Campbell, Arnold MD; three daughters, Diana (John) Triscritti, Harrodsburg, Kristina (Scott) Rouse, Wimberley, TX, Angela (Steve) Swanton, Tucson, AZ; two step-sons, Rick Engelbrecht, Peoria, IL, and Zac Anderson; four step-daughters, Phyllis (Steve) Wright, Arlington, TX, Mindy Hedden, Harrodsburg, KY, Cheryl Hedden, Peoria, IL, and Jackee Hedden, Creve Coeur, IL; two sisters, Ruby Russsell, Carlisle, KY, and Sheiba McIntosh, Jackson, KY; special nephew, Luther Campbell, Jackson, KY; fourteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a wife, Rosemary Lee Campbell, and eleven siblings. Funeral services will be 11:30 AM, Monday, May 3, 2021, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Powell. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 PM in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY. Visitation will be 10:30 AM, Monday, until the hour of service, Ransdell's. Pallbearers are Mike Campbell, John Triscritti, Eric Triscritti, Patrick Triscritti, Luther Campbell, Zac Anderson, and Jason Shannon.
