Obituary of Peggy Blacketer

Peggy Blacketer, 82, Harrodsburg, KY, wife of Paul Blacketer, died Monday, May 17, 2021, at her home. Born January 21, 1939, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Louise (Peyton) Robinson. Peggy was a retired KY State Employee, a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church and the Echos Homemakers Club. She was a volunteer for Mercer Co. Habitat for Humanity and had taught Sunday School at the Harrodsburg Health & Rehab for several years. Other survivors include: three daughters, Kathi (Eddie) Hudson, Susan (Chris) Record, and Allison (Cecil) Buchanan, all of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Jackie (Vernon) McGuire of Harrodsburg, and Martha Lynn Morris of Frankfort, KY; three brothers, Mike (Linda) Robinson of Frankfort, KY, Billy Joe (Carolyn) Robinson of Perryville, KY and Dennis (Belinda) Robinson of Harrodsburg; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Friday, May 21, 2021, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Dr. Robert Defoor and Derek Baker. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the hour of service Friday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers: Dustin Hudson, Sara Linn Cunningham, Katie Stamps, Makenzie & Jacob Record, Andrea Edwards, Tyler & Evan Goodlett. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Echos Homemaker Club: Janet Reed, Joyce Gash, Pat, Elizabeth & Mary Ann Springate, Debbie Armstrong, Everice Shewmaker and Ernestine Johnstone. Memorials are suggested to: Mercer Co. Habitat for Humanity or The Christian Life Center. The family request that those attending please continue to mask for the safety of others in attendance.
