Obituary of Fred Worley

Fred Lee Worley, 82, died Sunday, June 20, 2021, at the V.A Medical Center in Lexington. Born August 6, 1938, in McCreary County, he was the son of the late Othor and Addie (New) Worley. Fred was a retired construction designer for the Bechtel Corporation. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Danville, the South District Baptist Assoc., and was a US Army Veteran. Survivors include: one daughter, Dianna (Dan) Heck; one son, Rick (Ruby) Worley; daughter-in-law, Penny Worley; ten grand children, Dan, Jon, and Michael Takata, Renee Fox, April, Rick, Jennifer, Vanessa, and Stephanie Worley, and Kendall Heck; eight great grandchildren, Remi, Penny, Lillian, Aubrie, Raylin, and Leia Takata, Collin and Jett Fox; two nieces, Julie Butcher and Allison Connelly; He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Worley, two siblings, Carl Demeree Worley and Iva Butcher. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 pm Saturday; July 17 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, conducted by Dr. Jim Clontz, with Bill Rich, Benny Goode, and Dianna Heck sharing memories. Memorials are suggest to the First Baptist Church,1570 North Danville Bypass, Danville, KY 40422, or to the South District Baptist Association Disaster Relief Fund, 303 Stanford Ave, Danville, KY 40422.
