Obituary of Bruce Patterson

Robert “Bruce” Patterson, 79, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Ann McNees Patterson, died Sunday, June 27, 2021, at his home. Born November 4, 1941, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Horace Patterson and was raised by his mother Nannie (Hurst) and Raymond Darnell. Bruce was a ring man for auto auctions and served in the National Guard. Bruce loved sports, especially golf and basketball. He coached the school golf team and Junior Pro basketball. If not at a golf course or gymnasium, you could find him at the pool room or McDonalds. Other survivors include: four daughters: Nora Ann James, Letha (Tim) Blair, Bobby (Chris) Bruner and Carol Stephens, son: Nick Patterson and stepson; Eddie (Jamie) Carrier Jr.; two brothers: J.C. (Kathleen) Patterson and Tommy Hurst, Eleven Grand Children; Jason James, Erica Sexton, Sharee Browning, Shane Blair, Shay Lanham, Chelsea Bruner, Quinton Bruner, Isiah Bruner, Kaley Stephens, Jonathan Patterson and Kash Patterson, fourteen great grandchildren. Bruce was preceded in death by: his first wife; Nora Lee Patterson, four grandchildren; Steven Bruce Patterson, Nichole Patterson, Joshua Patterson and Tabitha Stephens, a brother; Larry Patterson and a sister; June Sutton. Funeral services will Thursday, July 1 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, conducted by Mike Conover and Phil Yates. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will also be Thursday, 10 am – 2 pm . Pallbearers: Nick Patterson, Quinton Bruner, Isiah Bruner, Shane Blair, Eddie Carrier Jr., Shane Cocanougher, Lance McNees, Jonathan Sexton, Michael Butler and Brian Sexton.
