Obituary of William Edward Nichols

William Edward "Eddie" Nichols, 69, Salvisa, KY, husband of Christine Chilton Nichols, died Friday, August 20, 2021, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born October 6, 1951, in Fayette County, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Dorothy (Anderson) Nichols. Eddie was a member of the Mayo Christian Church, an avid Turkey Hunter, and was a retired IBM Shipping employee. He was also a member of St. John’s Masonic Lodge #125, Salvisa, KY. Other survivors include: three sons, Nathan (Dana) Nichols of Lawrenceburg, KY, Chuck (Jennifer) Nichols of Harrodsburg, KY and Allen (Alicia) Nichols of Harrodsburg, KY; three sisters: Mary Louis (Mike) Majors and Brenda (Jeff) Riley, and Barbara Basham; eight grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held 5:00 PM Monday, August 23, 2021 at the Salvisa Baptist Church Christian Life Center with Dallas Daniels officiating. A private family burial be held in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 22, 2021, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Masonic Rites will be held at 7:30 PM, Sunday, Ransdell’s. Pallbearers: Will & Zach Nichols, Noah & Daniel Nichols, Marvin Wells, Tommy Craig, Scott Patton. Honorary bearers: Natalie, Maddie, Lizzie, & Sydney Nichols, Tom Chapman, Stanley Patton and Doug Harmon.
