Sonya Marshall, 48, Harrodsburg, KY, died Sunday, August 22, 2021, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born September 14, 1972, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of Gloria (VanGorp) Dargavell, Harrodsburg, and the late George Hogan Preston Jr..
Other survivors include: one daughter, Haley Gilbert of Garrad Co., KY; three sons, Roman Gilbert of Burgin, KY, Nicholas Marshall of Garrard Co., KY and Jeremy Marshall of SC; four sisters, Sherry Preston of Bryantsville, KY, Jaime (Jesse Bunyard) Preston of Burgin, KY, Erica Caudill of Danville, KY and Dana (Daniel) Gilbert of Garrard Co., KY; one grandchild, Elizabeth Gregory.
Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM, Friday, Aug 27, 2021, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Mike Crowe. Private burial will be in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville, KY. Visitation will be 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM, Friday, Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
