Obituary of Brenda Sue McConnell

Brenda Sue McConnell, 75, Harrodsburg, KY, died Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born February 14, 1946, in Bloomington, IN, she was the daughter of the late Forrest Logan and Roxie Mae (Judy) Clark. Brenda retired as general manager for Extended Stay Hotels and was currently operating the family business at Cane Run Fishing Camp. She was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church where she was on the Hostess Committee and a trustee. Survivors include: one daughter: Tierra Freeman (Steve) Taylor of Harrodsburg, KY and four sons: Mark Bell of Jeffersonville, IN, T.W. Freeman of Harrodsburg, KY, Chris McConnell of Lexington, KY and Matt McConnell of Atlanta, GA; one sister: Kathy Barns of Stamping Ground, KY and two brothers: Jack Clark of Lexington, KY and Butch Clark of Florida; she also has seven grandchildren; Staci Lester, Caleb Bell, Austin Bell, McKenzie Freeman, Tristan Bell, Tyler Freeman and Brianna Bell; eight great-grandchildren: Cadence Bell, Alayah Turner, Braden Ace Bottoms, Briar Lester, Cannon Lester, Jaxon Bell, Waylon Bell and Walker Bell. Brenda was preceded in death by: her son; Duane Bell and three siblings: Shawn Clark, Margaret “Bobbie Ann” Clark and Judy Clark. Graveside services will be conducted at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, 10 am Tuesday; September 7, by Jay Webb.
