Maxine Phillips, 82, LaGrange, KY, widow of Ralph W Phillips, Jr., died Sunday, September 5, 2021, at home. Born March 29, 1939, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Thurman H. and Aleen Lake Long. Maxine grew up in Harrodsburg, later retiring as a teacher with the Oldham Co. Board of Education. Survivors include: one daughter: Pam (Todd) Burns and two sons: Greg (Jennifer) Phillips and Barry (Becky) Phillips; one sister: Brenda (Eddie) Young and one brother: Ronnie (Martha) Long; she also has eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Grandchildren: Casie Wood, Trenton (Meredeth) Burns, Joshua (Lanie) Phillips, Zachary Phillips, Bailey (Colin) Meagher, Brittany Burns, Jordan (Jake) Davis and Cole (Audrey) Phillips. Great Grandchild: Kate Wood. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Bonnie Meredith and Thurman Long, Jr.. Graveside services will be Friday, September 10, 2021, 11am at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, KY, by Ryan Coatney and Leigh Garrett Lance. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers: Trenton Burns, Joshua, Zachary and Cole Phillips, Colin Meagher and Jake Davis. Memorials are suggested to: Folds of Honor, Tunnel to Towers, American Cancer Society, or Local Church Outreach.
