Obituary of Lula Lister

Lula Lister, 91, widow of Edgar Lister, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Monday, September 6, 2021, at the U Of L Shelbyville Hospital. Born December 3, 1929, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late George and Della (Baxter) Turpin.
Survivors include: four sons: Elwood “Woodie” (Gloria) Lister of Harrodsburg, Earl (Brenda) Lister of Junction City, Danny Lister of Harrodsburg, Carter (JoAnn) Lister of Harrodsburg, Long Time Partner, Benton Messer; brother, Hubert Turpin of Harrodsburg, Thirteen Grand Children, two of which were raised in her home: Tammy Miranda Murphy and Jessey Lister; Several; Great & Great Great Grandchildren. Lula was preceded in death by a son, Russell Lister; two daughters, Joyce Messer and Wilma Ridner; and seven siblings: Edward, Lawton and Estell Turpin, Mildred Reynolds, Hazel Butler, Lucille West and Mable Rawlings.
Funeral Services will be 2 pm Friday; September 10 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Pastor Phil Yates. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation 11 AM, Fri., Ransdell’s.
Pallbearers: Cody Lister, Cliff Lister, Edgar Lister, Cordell Lister, Randell Reynolds and Jeff Young.
