Dorothy J. Bottom, 83, Widow of Bobby Lee Bottom, Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born February 12, 1938, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl (Taylor) Carrier. Dorothy was a retired seamstress from Cricketeer Manufacturing and was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include: two daughters: Peggy (Paul) Tyler and Anita (Rich) Newsome of Harrodsburg, KY, and one son: Jerry Bottom of Nashville, TN; three sisters: Mary Durham and Wanda Wilkerson of Danville, KY and Betty Bugg of Harrodsburg, KY, one brother: Dennis Carrier of LaPort, IN; four grandchildren and Four great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by two siblings; Judy Russell and James Logue and a grandson; Jordan Levi Newsome. Funeral services will be conducted by Chris Darland, Mike Cox and Jason Tyler, 2 pm Friday; September 17 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Peter Cemetery, Mackville, KY. Visitation will be 10 am - 2 pm Friday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers: Andy Chirigotis, Greg Begley, Bill Durham, Roy Moore, Benny Bottom, Monty Wilkerson and Steve McIntosh. Memorials are suggested to the Peter Cemetery Fund, c/o Jim Smith, 102 George Edward Ave., Springfield, KY 40069.
