Walter P. Johnson, 61, Harrodsburg, husband of Phyllis Smith Johnson, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at the Ephraim McDowell – Haggin Hospital. Born Jan. 11, 1960, he was the son of the late Mahlon and Mildred (Bishop) Johnson. Walter was retired and was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing gospel songs, and spending time with his grandkids.
Other survivors include: a step-son, Timothy (Angela) Willoughby; two brothers, Clarence and Robert Johnson, TN; three sisters, Beverly Johnson, Viola (Don) Davis, and Brenda (David) Johnson, all of TN; two grandchildren, Elisabeth and Isaiah Willoughby. He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Harold, and Lawrence Johnson.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Garrett Franklin. Visitation will be 12 noon until 2 PM, Sunday.
