Obituary of Judy Hurst

Judy Hurst, 72, Harrodsburg, KY, wife of Ben Condit Hurst, died Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the Harrodsburg Health & Rehab, Harrodsburg. Born May 9, 1949, in Mercer Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late William Jennings and Bessie Opal (Smith) Bast. Judy was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed sewing, especially clothes for children and Barbie Doll clothing. Judy was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, and enjoyed spending time with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Other survivors include: one daughter, Deana (Michael) Eckert of New Albany, IN; three sons, Scott (Jennifer) Hurst of Danville, KY, Brian (Melissa) Hurst of Harrodsburg, KY and Brad Hurst of Springfield, KY; two brothers, Donnie Bast of Harrodsburg, KY and Tony (Joyce) of Salvisa, KY; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Judy was preceded in death by seven siblings; Anita Bottoms, Betty Olzanski, Nora Patterson, Leroy, Danny and Connie Bast. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Harold Best and Scott Hurst. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 11 am - 2 pm Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers: Brad Hurst, Brian Hurst Jr., Ben Eckert, Emily Eckert, Dakota Hurst, Jordan Hurst, Cameron Hurst, and Haley Hurst.
