William Carter Jones, 78, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Barbara Hagan Jones, died Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born August 15, 1943, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late James G. and Anna Pearl McCormick Jones. He was a Farmer that enjoyed fishing and was a member at 2nd Street Christian Church. Survivors other than his wife include: two daughters: Janet Jones of Nicholasville and Cindy (Andre) Jones of Harrodsburg; two sons: Kevin (Tammy) Jones of Harrodsburg and Jason (Catherine) Jones of Lexington; one step daughter, Latesha Deroy, TN; one sister: Linda Coulter of Danville and one brother: Dallas Fitzgerald of Danville; he also had twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings, Emma Frances Jones, Janet Lee Jones, Betty Florence Johnson and James Maurice Jones. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Phil Yates burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrodsburg . Visitation will be 11-2pm Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers: Keishawn Edwards, Daniel Jones Jr., David Yates Jr., Phillip Wesley Yates, Zachary Jones and Anthony Fitzgerald.
